INTRODUCTION

Looking for a writer who can deliver lively stories on deadline? Need a travel story that goes beyond the usual or a skiing story with an edge?

Whether you’re looking for a story about the cheapest digs or fanciest spas in snow country,  an insider’s report on the best lobster shacks or finest dining in Maine, or a round-up of New Hampshire’s grand hotels or British castle-hotels, award-winning freelance writer/editor Hilary Nangle can deliver.

An avid skier, she ski-bummed for a couple of years, then honed her knowledge of the industry and sharpened her writing skills as publications editor and primary writer for North American Pro Ski. A fan of cheap eats, she developed an appreciation for fine foods while managing editor at Gourmet News.

A veteran traveler, she expanded her horizons as features and travel editor of The Times Record. A Maine resident, she’s authored current or pending editions of Moon Maine, Moon Acadia National Park and Moon Coastal Maine, and has written the Maine chapters for more than a dozen Fodor’s travel guides and edited Maine Invites You.

Hilary lives in Mid-coast Maine, with her husband, photographer Tom Nangle. They often work together on assignments, providing one-stop shopping for editors.
