Avid skier and former whitewater guide Hilary Nangle specializes in soft adventure, arts, all-things Maine, eastern Canada, the Caribbean (those Maine winters are long) and, thanks to two years as managing editor for Gourmet News, food. Her markets range alphabetically from AARP to Yankee, topically from Art & Antiques to National Geographic Adventure. She’s authored three guidebooks, Moon Coastal Maine, Moon Acadia National Park, and Moon Maine.

Award:  Hilary Nangle won the 2007 Harold S. Hirsch award for Excellence in Snowsports Journalism for newspapers and the 2003 Harold S. Hirsch award for Excellence in Snowports Journalism for magazines.
